BBC News and Theresa May – A scripted answer for a scripted question?
BBC News and Theresa May sit down for a good ole chinwag ….
Is it just us or does Theresa May’s answer to the interviewer’s question seem completely scripted?
On the topic of Nicola Sturgeon pushing for a second Scottish independence referendum in 2019, Theresa May’s answer seems to be a script she’s carefully committed to memory and is recalling verbatim, paying diligent attention to pacing and sincerity, sprinkled with just the right amount of casual body language and spontaneity. Or so she thinks ….
This is absolutely bizarre viewing, it’s like watching a strange grey robot programmed to spout empty propaganda – which essentially it is ….
Of course, the fact that BBC News are complicit in such obvious propaganda, is hardly surprising at this stage. Their close dedication to the Tory agenda is perfectly blatant.
The crowning glory is when she caps it off at the end with “Politics is NOT a game!” At that point it becomes utterly laughable. The fact that her scriptwriters actually thought it would be a good idea to talk down to the viewing public as if they were all naughty five-year-olds who can’t think for themselves, perfectly shows the sheer out-of-touch arrogance of the Tory party and the BBC.
Comedy gold. This woman should have a gag reel.
